Under the brand omniac, the Schwarz Cyber Technologies GmbH, Stiftsbergstraße 1, 74172 Neckarsulm, Germany, provides a darknet, deep web and surface web monitoring service to report data leaks and protect against identity theft exclusively for private individuals.
Omniac offers monitoring of your personal data (e.g. e-mail address, mobile phone number, credit card details). This requires downloading the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, setting up a customer account and purchasing a paid subscription. Omniac is currently only available in Germany and can be used in German and English.
In order to be able to activate the monitoring effectively and to be informed about possible breaches, you can choose in the personal information section of your customer account which personal data should be covered by the monitoring service of omniac. This is done by adding or removing the relevant data in the personal information section of the app. After selecting and entering your personal data, our system collects data related to your public digital identity and checks whether those are publicly available on the deep web and darknet, areas of the Internet that are not easily accessible via common search engines, or can otherwise be found on the publicly accessible Internet. If a breach involving your data is found, you will receive an alert and get notified by e-mail and/or push notification depending on what you choose. This includes breached data about you in the past (up to more than 10 years) as well as new incidents. You will receive further information about each breach in the alert overview: a description of the incident, a list of the data breached, a risk rating and clear recommendations to help you minimize your risk - for example, by changing your password to prevent further leaks of your data.
In addition, omniac calculates your personal security status based on the alerts and their risk ratings to classify the security level of your data. You can improve your security status by implementing the recommended actions and marking the alerts as completed.
Omniac offers you means and tools to protect yourself from damage, e.g. financial damage and identity theft, or to limit damage. However, no identity can be protected completely. It is not permitted to enter personal data of other persons. Omniac does not offer the possibility of generating private copies for reuse of the content.
The omniac privacy policy outlines how your personal data is processed in connection with the usage of omniac. You will also find information about tracking functions and their purpose that omniac uses.
